What is GAD?

Gender and Development (GAD) is a framework that ensures gender equality is integrated into all aspects of governance, programs, and services.

GAD Framework

Gender and Development is a development approach that recognizes the different needs and realities of men, women, and marginalized sectors in governance and policymaking.

Republic Act 9710

The Magna Carta of Women mandates all LGUs to implement GAD programs and allocate at least 5% of their total budget to gender-responsive initiatives.

GAD Focal Point

The GAD Focal Point System is the institutional mechanism within LGUs for coordinating gender mainstreaming across all departments and programs.
